Google Street View Is Now Available In Ten Indian Cities
The street view feature was already introduced in Google Maps in many countries but not India. Finally, this feature was launched experimentally in India as well.
Through this, a place’s streets, restaurants, or tourism can be seen thoroughly. This new feature will be most beneficial for those who want a 360-degree view of that particular place before going somewhere new.
The feature will be available across India later this year. But initially, this new feature will be available in 10 cities. These cities are Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Vadodara, Ahmednagar, and Amritsar.
From local cafes to cultural hotspots, this platform can highlight detailed information. To use the feature, the user has to go to Google Maps and launch Street View directly. Then any place can be seen at a 360-degree angle by zooming in on any street in a particular city. The surrounding areas can also be seen through this feature.
In addition to the launch of this new feature, Google has tied up with the traffic authorities of eight cities for the convenience of motorists. The list includes Delhi, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Gurugram, Bangalore, and Agra. Google is moving forward, keeping in mind that drivers can know in advance if certain roads in these cities are closed or if there is a possibility of traffic jams.
Google has also collaborated with the Central Pollution Control Board to inform about pollution-prone areas. Users can access this information by tapping on the ‘Layers’ option at the top right of the Google Maps app and then selecting the ‘Air Quality option.
